Life can be challenging at the best of times, let alone when you are trying to juggle treatment for a serious illness, medical appointments, and looking after the family. But everyday New Zealanders are dealing with this on a regular basis.
Swathe.me set up a Charitable Trust for you to be able to practically support an individual that is going through an unexpected life or health change. Many worthy charities request donations. They too do amazing work, but you are never really sure exactly who your donation ends up helping.
That is where Swathe.me is different.
How Swathe.me Works…
You can donate to someone you know personally, or simply to help those that really need it. You choose the cause, the type of person, the location, and the service you would like your money directed to.
100% of your gift is credited to an individual’s Swathe.me prepaid card and available to spend on practical support services from Swathe.me’s nationwide network.
Because you are giving your hard earned money to those in need, they we will feed back to you the impact you have helped create in the person’s life. You will truly make a difference to those in need, at a time when they need it most.
The Main Areas People Need Help…
Life can become expensive when faced with an unexpected challenge, and these are three distinct areas where you can help:
1: Transport – With the skyrocketing cost of petrol and astronomical hospital parking prices, some people physically cannot afford to attend their medical appointments. So they don’t. They cannot receive the life-saving treatment they need, as they do not have the money for transport.
2: Childcare – Many patients have children in their care. But not all have the support of family or friends to care for the children while they attend their appointments. Again, this can prevent some people from being able to receive the treatment they need as they cannot afford childcare.
3: Meals – Receiving medical treatment can be exhausting, fatigue is a common side effect. There is not always enough energy left in the tank at the end of the day to cook a nutritious meal. There may also be dietary restrictions during treatment that many people don’t realise.
Here’s how you can help…
Making a donation is a wonderful feeling, but knowing who you have helped, and how, is amazing!
